    Abingdon Pottery was founded in 1908 in Abingdon, Illinois as
    Abingdon Sanitary Manufacturing Company

    Marshall Fields, Gimbals and Wanamaker); In 1950 the company dropped the pottery line due to the demand for sanitary plumbing items
