IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING ACTIVE DUTY USE OF THIS ADAPTER:
This adapter IS NOT "duty safe"!
Although it is more than capable of surviving being treated roughly, it is not strong enough to resist "fighting for your life" holster retention drills or similar abuse. To quote a LEO tester, "[they] would not deploy with the current version." As such,
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS ADAPTER WHILE ON DUTY OR SIMILAR PURPOSES WHERE THE ADAPTER IS CONNECTED TO A SERVICE HOLSTER.

This is a polymer adapter plate that connects to a Blackhawk holster on one side, and to a Safariland QLS or other Safariland belt connection rig on the other side, allowing you to use your holster with the QLS mounting system or whatever other Safariland belt equipment you're currently (or prefer on) using. The adapter works with all Blackhawk holsters and Safariland belt-side kit; if there are any exceptions, we are not aware of them. (Note that there
has
been at least one complaint of a Blackhawk Tazer holster sitting too high for the user, as well as difficulties connecting it to a third-party metal Safariland-compatible system; any other issues will be reported in this description as they become known.)
Connecting hardware:
the adapter comes with steel T-nuts that work with Safariland screws for the adapter-to-QLS (or other belt connector), with their 3/8" screws (overall screw length is 1/2") that have a "serrated/stair-step texture" on the underside being the best to use, although non-serrated or differently sized Safariland screws will work; the adapter to Blackhawk connection uses the screws that came with your holster.
Do not use any grommets/spacers/washers/etc.

Although originally designed for the Blackhawk Omnivore series of holsters, the mounting bolt spacing and diameter is the same as with other Blackhawk holsters.
The adapter plate is strongest when attached to an Omnivore, however, as it sits flush against the side of the Omnivore; unfortunately most other Blackhawk holsters have a relatively small surface area (around the bolts/bolt holes) that sit against the adapter , which can lead to the adapter breaking under a small set of related circumstances

If someone grabs your holstered pistol and pulls it (and the holster) directly away from your body;
Getting a seat belt trapped between your body and the holster while exiting the vehicle;
Repeatedly smashing it against a cars central console/armrest or similar, repetitious impacts to the same area of your holster;
If the adapter should break under non-purposely destructive use, contact us with the situation (and pictures of the damage, if possible) for a refund or replacement adapter.

Important Installation Notes:
See second picture for which side faces towards the holster, and which side faces towards the QLS fork or Safariland belt paddle/rig; it is possible to accidentally install it the wrong way around, but doing so will very likely lead to the plate breaking under use!
The bolts holding the adapter plate to the Omnivore (or other) holster should only be *hand tight* - as soon as the holster can no longer "slide around", you shouldn't tighten it much farther (perhaps 1/4 a turn or so). The bolts that come with the holster (usually) have loctite on them (if not, add some if you have any available), and the "roughness" of the plastic on the adapter plate underneath the holster bolts will squish down a little as you tighten them; this combination provides more than enough friction/tension/etc. to keep them from backing out. Over-tightening will lead to deformation and/or cracking of the adapter around the bolts, which can lead to an early an unnecessary failure of the adapter!
BOTH SIDES of the adapter plate should be FLAT/FLUSH against both the holster side and QLS fork/belt paddle/rig side of your system! Placing gaskets/spacers/O-rings/shims under the bolts or T-nuts that go through the adapter plate, and/or between the adapter plate and whatever it is attaching to,
will allow the plate to bend and possibly break with use
. The adapter plate is sized to give the bolts,T-nuts, and any "screw post" sticking out of the holster just enough room to fit without causing the plate from being too tight/deforming against the holster and/or Safariland rig to which it connects.
